The New York Mets picked up their second straight win tonight at Citi Field, taking down the Minnesota Twins and building on the momentum from last night’s 3-2 victory. Queens showed up and so did the team.
This is the version of the Mets that makes them worth watching every night. Competitive, scrappy, and capable of stringing wins together when they get comfortable at home. Citi Field has been a good place to be lately and the crowd felt it tonight.
The Mets aren’t making the back pages of the tabloids for the wrong reasons right now. They’re winning baseball games, playing clean defense, and giving their starter enough run support to work with. That formula doesn’t always make headlines — but it wins games in April and it builds habits that matter in September.
