Yankees Shut Out the Red Sox 4-0 at Fenway. The Bronx Doesn’t Miss.

4-0. At Fenway. Shutout.

There are road wins and then there are statements. Tonight the New York Yankees walked into the most hostile ballpark in the American League and gave Boston absolutely nothing. Zero runs. Two hits. A performance that reminded everyone why the pinstripes carry weight.

Luis Gil took the mound with something to prove. After opening the season with an 0-1 record and a 7.00 ERA, tonight was the response. That is what this rotation is capable of when it’s locked in β€” going into enemy territory and making the game look easy.

The offense did its job early and let the pitching take over. Four runs is more than enough when your starter is dealing. The Red Sox had no answer all night and by the time the final out was recorded Fenway Park was very, very quiet.

The Bronx doesn’t miss.

This is the Yankees identity at their best. Pitching that dominates. Defense that doesn’t give anything away. An offense that doesn’t need to hit home runs every night to win baseball games. When all three pieces show up together this is one of the best teams in the American League and tonight proved it.

The Yankees move to 14-9 on the season. The Bronx doesn’t rebuild. It reloads. And right now the pinstripes are rolling.

Next one tomorrow. Same expectation. πŸ”’
